FAQs

What is Treble Makers?

Treble Makers is a welcoming, term‑time music group for children who love to sing, make rhythm and learn together. We introduce good vocal habits through games, warm‑ups and simple part‑singing, and we enjoy performing at family services and special church events.

  • Ages: suitable for primary school children (Key Stage 1–2). Older siblings welcome as helpers.
  • Ability: beginners to confident singers — no auditions.
  • Cost: free to join (donations welcome to support music at St Mary’s).

All leaders are DBS‑checked and follow our Parish Safeguarding Policy. Parents and carers are warmly invited to stay for the first session.

FAQs

Do children need to read music?
No. We learn by ear with fun visuals; music reading is introduced gently for those who are ready.

What should they bring?
A named water bottle and bundles of enthusiasm. We provide all resources.

Can parents stay?
Yes — space allowing. We ask that a parent/carer stay for new starters until they feel settled.

For more information, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Parish Office, and your message will be passed to the Treble Makers team.
