Lent & Advent Study Groups

For the seasons of Advent (six weeks running up to Christmas) and Lent (five weeks running up to Easter), we encourage the whole church family to meet together midweek to study scripture together or to engage with a Christian course of some kind.

Over the last three years we have looked at; ‘care for the environment’, Archbishop Welby’s book ‘Dethroning Mammon’ concerning our engagement with the financial world and ‘The Atonement; what difference does it make that Jesus died on a cross for us?’

To find out more about upcoming courses, please contact the Church Office.

Prayer for the day

“[The Birth of Jesus Foretold] In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.””

Luke 1:26-28
