1 Corinthians 4:8
“Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! You have begun to reign—and that without us!”
Sometimes it is easy to believe that we have already arrived — that we know enough, have enough, and no longer need to grow.
In 1 Corinthians 4:8, Paul gently challenges the early church in Corinth. Some had begun to feel self-satisfied and spiritually confident, forgetting that faith is not about status or achievement, but about humility, learning, and continuing to walk with Christ.
Faith is not something we “complete.”
It is something we live every day.
When we remain humble, open-hearted, and willing to learn, God continues to shape us, guide us, and deepen our understanding.
This week, it might be worth asking ourselves:
- Are we open to learning more from God?
- Are we walking in humility with others?
- Are we growing in kindness, patience, and love?
True richness is not found in feeling we have everything already.
It is found in recognising that God still has so much more to teach us.
