✨ Message of the Week ✨The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant📖 Matthew 18:21–35

Peter asked Jesus, “How many times should I forgive someone?” Perhaps expecting praise for suggesting seven times, he was astonished when Jesus replied, “Not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”

Jesus then told the story of a servant who had been forgiven an enormous debt by his master — a debt he could never repay. Yet, despite receiving such mercy himself, he refused to forgive another servant who owed him only a small amount.

Through this parable, Jesus reminds us of something both challenging and beautiful: we who have received grace are called to give grace. Forgiveness is not always easy. Sometimes it can feel impossible. But forgiveness is not about pretending hurt never happened — it is about refusing to let bitterness take root in our hearts.

God’s mercy towards us is endless, patient, and full of compassion. When we forgive others, we reflect that same love into the world.

This week, perhaps we can pause and ask ourselves:
💭 Is there someone I need to forgive?
💭 Is there someone from whom I need to seek forgiveness?
💭 How can I show grace in my daily life?

May we be people shaped not by resentment, but by mercy, kindness, and love. 💙
